I feel like there will be so much to talk about SOON and nothing to talk about NOW.
Soon, tomorrow afternoon, I should get the results of the CT scan I had last week.
Soon, tonight, I will bottle my homemade wine. Yes, I'm making homemade wine. It's a Merlot. I expect it won't be wonderful, as it's my first attempt at wine making. I won't be able to tell you how it us until a month after bottling, though - it won't be ready for consumption until then.
Soon, Saturday, I run my first 5k. (I've done a 5k before, but never running.)
Soon, this afternoon, I do my last pre-5k run.
Soon, sometime very soon, I will get to see the Biggest Loser finale that's saved on my DVR. (NO SPOILERS PLEASE!)
Soon, in 10 days, I go on vacation to Mexico.
I'm full of anticipation, but I'm not full of things to write about at the moment. But soon! I'll have stuff to write about soon.

Warn us only-watch-TV-on-DVR folks before you go abruptly giving away surprises! Come on! I'll avert my eyes, but work with me here and warn me that eye averting is necessary!

This blog chronicles my health, fitness, weight loss, and (finally!) weight maintenance adventures. I work out (usually) and follow the Weight Watchers plan (typically). I became a newbie runner (really!) by training using the couch to 5k plan, and soon I plan to train for a 10k (yikes!). I expect I'll also occasionally ramble on about other life experiences and events. There's more to life than fitness, or so I'm told.

- I'm a bit of a smart-ass and I love food. Mmmmmm fooooood ... Because of my food-love I had a few pounds of fat to lose and a few pounds of muscle to gain. I lost weight, and now I'm maintaining my weight loss. I'm maintaining the same way I lost - by following the Weight Watchers eating plan, setting weight and fitness goals, and doing cardio and strength training. This description makes me sound fitness-obsessed, and that's not really the case. I could do with a little more fitness-obsession, actually.
Stats, Goals and Gory Details
- Height: 5'6"
- Weight Goal: Staying in the low 130's, below 134 pounds.
- Goal Reached: March 24, 2008 (that's when I stayed at or below an average of 133 for a 7 day period). I've done it before, too. I originally reached goal in Summer 2003. I gained the damned weight back. I reached goal again in Summer 2006. And I gained some of the weight back.
- Other goals: Get fit, get strong, and maintain weight loss once I'm back at goal.
- Heaviest Recent Weight: 152.4 (Fall 2007)
- Heaviest Weight: 167 (December 2002, but also probably in 1998, although I didn't weigh myself then. Call me Cleopatra, queen of denial)
- Exercise Goal: Run 5k April 19th. Training using the Couch to 5k plan. Also aiming for strength training at least 2x/week.

I didn't blog about BL either because I know some people can't watch til the weekend! So I won't tell you anything about it except it was VERY MOTIVATIONAL and inspiring!

I'm still in the dark about BL and hope to keep it that way until I can get around to watching it! I am enforcing a media and blog-reading blackout around these parts!!!
I've come down with a killer cold, of course, and now I think the 5K on Saturday is going to SUCK!!! So upset. I was not sick a day during this whole C25K thing. Hoping I can dope myself up with cold medicines and persevere!!!

First of all, Oh. My. God. you are in the 120s!!!!!! That's amazing, incredible, awesome, insane, super, sweet, wow. Just, wow.
Second of all, you are such a trooper with regards these health issues so close to your big race. I hope everything checks out okay at the doctor, and I can't wait to read a triumphant race report on Saturday.
